A post-race 20-second penalty has dropped Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc from sixth to eighth in the Miami Grand Prix classification, triggering changes to both the Formula 1 driver and constructor standings after round four of the 2026 season.
By contrast, the previous day’s full disqualification of Audi’s Gabriel Bortoleto from 11th in the sprint at Miami International Autodrome did not affect the points tables. Leclerc’s two-place demotion, however, did move the needle.
Leclerc’s teammate Lewis Hamilton was promoted from seventh to sixth, while Alpine’s Franco Colapinto rose from eighth to seventh. Each gained two points. Leclerc lost four points, resulting in a net swing of minus two for Ferrari and plus two for Alpine.
